On Wednesday, F1 Fantasy moved Kevin Magnussen to Inactive in preparation for his one-race ban and added a note to both the Magnussen and Logan Sargeant assets:

A message on the Home page later clarified that Inactive drivers will be subject to a 5-point penalty for missing Qualifying, a 20-point penalty for missing Sprints, and a 20-point penalty for missing Grands Prix:

After weeks of speculation, this latest news means that Sargeant no longer benefits fantasy strategists and should be removed ahead of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

Here is what we learned after one week of the new Inactive driver rules:
- No Negative does cancel out the negative points assessed to Inactive drivers

- The average score used to calculate price changes does not include Inactive drivers
- Inactive drivers receive the biggest price drop allowed by their price tier, a downside to keeping them and using No Negative
