Chinese Grand Prix FP1 Results

After a five year hiatus, we are finally back in China at the Shanghai International Circuit! FP1 will be the only practice session the drivers get since this is a sprint weekend... Find out who is looking strong out on track:

With 45 minutes left in the session, the red flag was brought out due to a fire on the grass at Turn 7... The teams, drivers and commentators were all appalled at how and where this fire could have started from
Lance Stroll topped the session with Oscar Piastri finishing in second
Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez finished the session in 3rd and 4th
Lewis Hamilton had a close call with Nico Hulkenberg and Oscar Piastri causing him to go off and head down the pit lane to avoid a collision
- Hamilton received a black and white flag for crossing the pit lane
Numerous drivers missed the pit lane entrance, going wide and needing to complete a three point turn to return to the track
