Tsunoda confident in adapting to Red Bull’s 2025 setup

Yuki Tsunoda believes the issues with the 2025 Red Bull are more related to the setup than the car's fundamental characteristics. Now tasked with getting closer to Max Verstappen, Tsunoda notes that the setup differences are more noticeable than the car's difficulty. He has developed a setup he feels suits him and will try it at Suzuka. If Tsunoda doesn't perform, Red Bull may consider rookie Isack Hadjar, who has impressed early this season and is ready for a potential opportunity.

Ferrari's new floor delayed until Bahrain GP

Ferrari’s new floor for its 2025 car will debut in Bahrain, not at this weekend's Japanese GP as initially expected. The team realized in Australia and China that their 2025 car is highly sensitive to ride height changes, causing significant downforce loss. Ferrari's new technical director, Loic Serra, worked quickly on a Bahrain-spec solution, with around 20 adjustments tested in simulations. Charles Leclerc stressed the need to improve performance from the start of the race to unlock the car's true potential.

Sainz struggles to adjust to Williams car

Carlos Sainz believes it will take him five to ten races to fully adapt to his new Williams F1 car, as he adjusts his style. After four years at Ferrari, he struggled to extract the maximum performance from the Williams, particularly behind teammate Alex Albon. Sainz has had to unlearn muscle memory from driving the Ferrari, needing significant changes in his approach and car setup. Despite the difficulty, he’s not worried and sees it as a challenge he enjoys, and aims to be at his best before the summer break.
