FIA steps in to assist teams tackle China GP logistic hurdles
The FIA has reduced the curfew for F1 teams by 5.5 hours for one night before the Chinese Grand Prix due to delays in freight arriving in Shanghai. Pirelli, the championship’s tire supplier, faced logistical challenges, which disrupted the tire fitting schedule on 19 March. To help teams and Pirelli catch up, up to six operational personnel per team are permitted to work beyond curfew solely for tire preparations. As a result, the usual 11.5-hour overnight curfew will be shortened to six hours on Wednesday night.

F1 in talks to stage Bangkok GP
Thailand is preparing to host a Formula One street race in Bangkok in 2028. Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra met with F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali to discuss the plan and confirmed that a feasibility study will be conducted. She highlighted the race’s potential benefits, including infrastructure improvements, job creation, and boosting Thailand’s economy and tourism. With F1 already hosting 24 races per season, it is uncertain how new venues like Bangkok will fit into the schedule.
