Formula 1 heads to the Jeddah Corniche Circuit for the fifth annual Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. McLaren look to continue their dominant start to the 2025 campaign while Mercedes, Red Bull, and Ferrari hope to capitalize on their strong history here. The race for cost cap gains in F1 Fantasy reached a fever pitch in Bahrain but with fewer drivers predicted to grow their value this week, many players may pivot to a high scoring strategy. Strap in for a rundown of the biggest F1 Fantasy news entering the fifth race of the 2025 season.
New Lineup Opportunities

The Piastri-McLaren-Mercedes meta dominated headlines and fantasy box scores last weekend, but the ensuing price gains unlocked new options for Jeddah this weekend. Ferrari posted 56 and 73 points, respectively, over the last two races thanks to high overtakes and excellent pit stops. A Piastri-McLaren-Ferrari team starts at just $103.5M for strategists that want a high-upside differential.
With fewer drivers in line for a maximum price gain this week, consider options with a higher points upside such as Fernando Alonso and Pierre Gasly this weekend. Also, for those teams considering Limitless in Miami, your Jeddah lineup will incur price changes after Miami as well so look to drivers with high scores in Bahrain: Ollie Bearman, Esteban Ocon, Liam Lawson, and Alex Albon stand out.
Budget Builders

As expected, Oscar Piastri leads all Tier A drivers and can achieve the maximum price gain of $0.3M with just 16 points. By contrast, Lando Norris needs 49 points which is 10 points more than his season average. This factor alone may decide the DRS Boost for many lineups. In Tier B, Ollie Bearman's string of P10 performances drops the requirement for a $0.6M price gain to just 3 points. After Isack Hadjar at 6 points, every other Tier B driver needs 13 or more points to increase the maximum and only Jack Doohan and Fernando Alonso can gain any value with a sub-10 point performance.
Eight of the ten constructors can gain the maximum amount this week by scoring at least 2 points (Williams and Sauber the only exceptions) while Haas (-16) continue to provide the biggest cost cap opportunity. All four Tier A constructors are a safe bet for a $0.3M price increase now that Ferrari are no longer saddled by their disqualifications in China.
Weather Outlook

The forecast for this weekend almost completely matches Bahrain, with warm temperatures and little chance of rain. With few DNFs in recent seasons and no rain in the forecast, No Negative and Autopilot can wait for another race.
Betting Lines

After winning his second Grand Prix at Bahrain last weekend, Oscar Piastri finds himself tied with Lando Norris atop the early betting lines. At this point, running one of these two drivers plus the McLaren constructor is essential. Pierre Gasly finds himself in the top 10, perhaps due to his strong history at Jeddah. The French veteran recorded three straight top-10 finishes from 2021 through 2023 before retiring from a gearbox issue last season. Alex Albon rounds out the top 10 since he finished at least P12 or higher in each of the first four races.
