Oscar Piastri leads his teammate, Lando Norris, and the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc in Free Practice 3 ahead of the Bahrain Grand Prix Qualifying session
The drivers have now completed their final practice session of the Bahrain Grand Prix weekend. Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri and looking like the most dominant drivers on the grid with both of the McLaren boys topping FP1 and FP2. Throughout the practice sessions on the Friday, the drivers were all struggling with grip and some cars were finding it difficult to amnage the balance of the cars. Max Verstappen was not feeling confident in his Red Bull and there were complaints from Liam Lawson that the balance was off in his Racing Bull. Kimi Antonelli was only able to get three laps in during FP1, but then was able to show his talent and dominance in the car during FP2. - Oliver Bearman was the first driver out on track for the final free practice session of the Bahrain Grand Prix weekend
- Jack Doohan seemd to struggle in his Alpine as he was seen getting up into the kerbs on his first few laps
- Half way through the session and it was looking like the McLaren boys are definitely going to be the team to beat
- Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri kept trading places at the top of the timesheet
- Nico Hulkenberg was seen having a problem at Turn 8 causing the Stake driver to pull over and stop in front of the marshals
- This brought out the Virtual Safety Car (VSC) temporarily as they worked quickly to clear the car from the track
- George Russell was the last driver to come out for the practice session
- On his first lap out, the British driver locked up and went wide at Turn 1
- Charles Leclerc lost his left wing mirror on the shorter straight of the circuit right before the final corner
- With only 15 minutes left in the session, George Russell headed to his pit box and claimed this had to have been the least amount of grip he's ever experienced
- Russell had a big spin at Turn 10, causing the yellow flags to come out briefly
- Ollie Bearman dipped his tires into the gravel trap resulting in him needing to abandon his flying lap
