Alpine reportedly enters race to sign Colapinto

Alpine is now trying to sign Williams’ Franco Colapinto, who has become a top target after his strong debut at Monza. Since Williams has no race seat available for 2025, Colapinto is looking for other options, and several teams want him. Although Red Bull is considered a potential destination, Alpine executive advisor Flavio Briatore is reportedly interested in securing Colapinto for an F1 2026 seat. Colapinto is focused on performing well this season while his managers work on finding him a future in the sport.

Why W15 struggles on tough traction track

Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff believes the W15 struggles on tracks that require good traction, as demonstrated during the recent Mexican Grand Prix, where they qualified well but could not keep pace with Ferrari and McLaren. Lewis Hamilton managed to finish fourth after battling teammate George Russell, who faced issues due to front-wing damage. Wolff stressed the need for more speed to compete with the top teams as they look to test new strategies in the final races of the season.

Alonso skips media day again

Fernando Alonso will miss Thursday's media day at Interlagos because of an ongoing intestinal infection. This is the second race in a row that he has put his health first. He had the infection before the Mexico City Grand Prix, where he skipped media events but still raced. Alonso returned to Europe this week for special treatment, delaying his arrival in Brazil as he prepares for the Sao Paulo Grand Prix after a disappointing retirement in his 400th race.

McLaren unveils new Formula E car

McLaren is the eighth team to unveil its new Formula E car ahead of the upcoming season. The car, named the Nissan e-4ORCE 05, features a fresh livery while retaining the classic papaya and black colors.
