Automakers likely to join F1 as 12th team
Cadillac has received provisional approval to join F1, with Mario Andretti hinting at a possible 12th team. The sport is focused on adding teams backed by major automakers, and any new team would likely need such support. Ford, which is already involved in F1 through its partnership with Red Bull, may be looking to expand its presence by entering as a full works team. Toyota, with its successful endurance racing programs, and Hyundai's luxury brand Genesis, exploring endurance racing, are also potential candidates to join F1 in the future.

Logan Sargeant’s crash in Zandvoort ended his F1 career, while Franco Colapinto’s season ended with a huge crash in Las Vegas, hurting his chances for a 2025 seat.

Lewis Hamilton's number 44 comes from his early karting days, which was inspired by his father's car license plate, F44, and has stayed with him throughout his career. Despite the option to adopt the traditional number 1, Hamilton has always preferred 44, a number he believes represents loyalty and luck.
