Red Bull ends $150m partnership with Bybit
Red Bull has ended its $150 million partnership with crypto exchange Bybit ahead of the 2025 F1 season, as their three-year deal from 2022 was not renewed. The decision comes as F1 teams move towards partnerships with mutual benefits, and speculation suggests Bybit is no longer aligned with Red Bull’s brand strategy. To fill the $50 million per year gap, Red Bull has secured new sponsors, including AvaTrade, whose logo will feature on the RB21, driver overalls, and F1 Academy, and Neat, which will appear on the car, pit crew helmets, and track displays. More partners are expected to be announced at Red Bull’s livery reveal on February 18 in London.

Fred Vasseur took over Ferrari in 2023, and Christian Horner has been leading Red Bull since 2005. Other team principals include Toto Wolff at Mercedes, Mike Krack at Aston Martin, and new leaders like Oliver Oakes at Alpine and Ayao Komatsu at Haas.

Herta's F1 dreams rest on IndyCar performance
Cadillac has officially entered the F1 development race as they prepare for the 2026 season, but their driver lineup is still uncertain and hinges on Colton Herta's IndyCar performance. Herta almost joined F1 in 2022, but his lack of Super License points left the door open for Nyck de Vries. Now, with Cadillac's successful F1 application, Herta has another opportunity, and Mario Andretti, a supporter of Herta, believes in his potential. Herta needs to finish 4th or higher in the 2025 IndyCar season to secure the Super License points necessary for an F1 seat, though competition from other drivers remains fierce.
