Briatore reportedly leaks potential new Alpine livery

A video on Flavio Briatore's Instagram seems to have leaked the 2025 Alpine F1 car livery, showing a blue and pink design. Briatore, Alpine's executive advisor, was in a meeting with the marketing team when the images were seen on a table. It’s not clear if the livery shown is final or just a concept, but it could be a change from Alpine's 2024 exposed carbon. Briatore has a lot of influence at Alpine, and with Franco Colapinto joining, there’s more pressure on Jack Doohan for the new season.

Newey to resume new role on March 3

Adrian Newey's start date at Aston Martin is set for Monday, March 3, 2024. After 19 years at Red Bull, Newey, F1's most successful designer, decided to leave despite offers from Ferrari and Williams. He will join Aston Martin as a managing technical partner and shareholder, with a focus on the 2026 F1 season and the team's future title hopes. Newey’s primary work will revolve around the new power units and chassis regulations, although he will also offer input on this year’s car.

Can Aston Martin challenge for the title in 2026?

Aston Martin is working hard to become a top team in Formula 1, with Lawrence Stroll bringing in big names like Adrian Newey. The team faces a big challenge as they move from using Mercedes parts to making their own, including a new gearbox. After finishing fifth in 2024 without a podium, they hope to improve in 2025 and be even stronger in 2026.

Why Colapinto's Alpine move is too much pressure for Doohan

Franco Colapinto’s move to Alpine is seen as a challenge to Jack Doohan, as it puts pressure on him to perform. Colapinto likely sees a better chance of getting a race seat at Alpine than staying with Williams. This adds pressure on Doohan, as rumors suggest his future is uncertain. Alpine's new leadership, under Flavio Briatore, is focused on achieving results without concern for optics, and Doohan must perform quickly or risk being replaced. The cutthroat nature of F1 means that, while Doohan's future is uncertain, it ultimately depends on his ability to prove himself on the track.

Antonelli completes test run with Mercedes at Jerez

Andrea Kimi Antonelli has completed another test run with Mercedes at Jerez as he prepares for his debut season with the team. The 18-year-old F2 driver will replace Lewis Hamilton, who confirmed his departure in February after completing multiple test sessions with Mercedes. Although Mercedes used a 2021 F1 car for this test, it was due to a rule change allowing teams to run older cars under the "Testing of Historic Cars" regulation. Mercedes plans to use its allocation of a two-year-old car later in the season while Antonelli continues his preparations for future races.
