The changes come after a disappointing 2024 season, where Aston Martin struggled to maintain its 2023 momentum despite finishing fifth in the standings. Lawrence Stroll’s vision for a championship-winning team continues with major signings, including Enrico Cardile and Adrian Newey, alongside Cowell’s efforts to refine the team’s efficiency. With a clearer division of responsibilities, the revamped structure aims to maximize performance heading into the 2025 season.

When he joined in May, Alpine hadn’t scored any points, but things improved after adding a new floor at the Miami Grand Prix. By the end of the season, Alpine finished sixth in the constructors' standings with 54 points after the summer break. Sanchez believes the team should be more competitive and not settle for being in the middle of the pack.
