Alpine cuts 300 jobs in major restructure

Flavio Briatore said Alpine has cut 300 jobs as part of a restructuring at its Enstone base. The team now has about 850 staff, down from 1,150. This change follows a tough start to the 2024 season, but the team is now focusing on improving the 2025 car. Briatore also confirmed that Alpine plans to become a customer team in 2026, moving away from its partnership with Renault.

Colapinto's Red Bull move will 'destroy him'

Karun Chandhok thinks it's too early for Franco Colapinto to join Red Bull and says it would be a mistake. Chandhok suggests that Colapinto might be better suited for a role with Red Bull's junior team rather than jumping straight into a top seat. He also proposes Red Bull should stick with Sergio Perez if he improves, or consider placing Colapinto at RB instead.

Lewis Hamilton and Oscar Piastri spoke out, saying the tires are dangerous and don't work well, with many drivers choosing intermediates instead. Pirelli knows the tires need improvement, but they can't test them enough, so it's unclear if the new tires will help.

Lawson slams 'bullsh*t' British anthem for McLaren wins

Liam Lawson called it "bullsh*t" that the British anthem is played when McLaren wins. He believes McLaren should play the New Zealand anthem because the team was founded by Bruce McLaren, who was from New Zealand. Lawson, who is from New Zealand himself, thinks McLaren is a New Zealand team, even though it's based in the UK. The debate is about whether a team's nationality should be based on where it's from or who founded it.

Red Bull's epic return to Kyalami

Red Bull returned to South Africa to film a short movie at the Kyalami Circuit in Johannesburg, which has hosted the South African Grand Prix twenty times. The film captured all the epic sights and sounds of the RB7 roaring through the former season-opening circuit. David Coulthard was behind the wheel of the RB7, driving around the Kyalami Circuit as it powered through The Kink and into Crowthorne Corner.
