Mercedes to unveil W16 in February

Mercedes will reveal its 2025 F1 car, the W16, on February 24, two days before pre-season testing begins. The car's livery will be unveiled at the F175 Live event on February 18 in London. A shakedown will follow in Bahrain, where the pre-season test is taking place. The W16 will be the first Mercedes car since 2012 not to feature Lewis Hamilton, who moves to Ferrari.

Why Red Bull is cautious about its development tools

Red Bull faced problems in 2024 with their car balance because the data from their wind tunnel and other tools didn't match real-world results. These issues got worse when McLaren introduced a big upgrade, and Red Bull only started to make progress later in the season after experimenting with the car setup. Their wind tunnel is old and will be replaced, but Wache says it's hard to fully fix these problems, especially as the rules become stricter. Despite the challenges, Wache believes that doubting and constantly questioning results helps the team improve in the long run.

Where will Hamilton test with Ferrari next?

Lewis Hamilton will drive an old Ferrari F1 car in Barcelona this week to prepare for his first season with the team. Ferrari booked the track from January 28-30 for a private test with Hamilton and Charles Leclerc. They will either use the 2023 SF-23 or the 2022 F1-75, following F1’s testing rules. Hamilton called his first test with Ferrari “awe-inspiring” and said he is excited to start this new chapter.

Verstappen meets Mustang Dark Horse
