Sauber chief Alunni Bravi exits team ahead of Audi transition

Alessandro Alunni Bravi will leave his role as Sauber's managing director at the end of the month after a tough 2024 season, where the team finished last in the constructors' championship. The team, which raced as Alfa Romeo during his time, only scored one point last year. Alunni Bravi had been with Sauber since 2017 and became team representative in 2023. He is worried about Sauber’s future, especially with Audi taking over in 2026 and the need for a better chassis. Sauber also replaced Guanyu Zhou with Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto, but there is doubt about Bortoleto’s performance. Audi F1 boss Mattia Binotto admitted the team has problems but is still focused on success by 2030.

On the one hand, there are the most successful ones, like Verstappen and Hamilton, who attract both admiration and criticism. On the other hand, there are less impressive drivers, like Stroll.
