With the 2024 Hungarian GP at Hungaroring underway, Pit Lane and FanAmp want you to switch the red lights to green because we're lights out and away we take a look at special helmets Hungarian Grand Prix!
It’s race week again! The 2024 Hungarian Grand Prix is scheduled from July 19-21 at the Hungaroring in Mogyoród, near Budapest. Known for its tight, twisty circuit, the race often requires strategic finesse due to the difficulty of overtaking. You probably didn’t know this, but Hungarian GP holds historical significance as the first Formula 1 race held behind the Iron Curtain, debuting in 1986! Over the weekend, there will be practice sessions on Friday, qualifying on Saturday, and the main race on Sunday at 15:00 local time. As usual, Pit Lane Magazine is bringing you the news regarding the most awesome and most unique special helmet design! Let’s dive into it.
This isn't the most popular race for special helmets or liveries, but we did have a few stand outs - both.... in relation to trophies!
Lando Norris Special Helmet Design
Do you remember last year when Lando Norris broke Verstappen’s trophy?
Well, Lando has partnered with trophy-makers Herend Porcelain to create this amazing helmet design for this year's race. How awesome is this helmet? Commemorating breaking Max’s winning trophy is not something we expected for this year’s Hungarian Grand Prix, but we are here for it!
And if you haven’t already notice, it’s all hand painted!
Esteban Ocon Special Helmet: Another Porcelain Design?
Another driver to play around with the porcelain theme is our Estie Bestie! Ocon decided to commemorate his maiden win at the 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix, taking its look after the winning trophy of his first and only victory. Looking at the helmet placed right beside Ocon’s trophy, we can only say – how cute!
