Teams gear up for final upgrades in Austin
The last significant car upgrades of the 2024 Formula 1 season are set to be unveiled at the United States Grand Prix in Austin. This race presents a crucial opportunity for teams to adjust their standings, with just six races remaining. Red Bull, McLaren, Ferrari, and Mercedes are all expected to bring updates, but the sprint weekend format limits practice time. As McLaren leads the championship, both Red Bull and Ferrari aim to leverage their new parts to close the gap on the front.

Haas unveils eagle-inspired livery for home GP
Haas F1 is introducing a special livery for the US Grand Prix, which features an American bald eagle and colors resembling the American flag. Even though they partnered with Toyota Gazoo Racing, their logo is only seen under the Haas logo on the front wing. The team will also bring updates to the car’s floor and bodywork to improve aerodynamics. Technical director Andrea De Zordo says these small changes are important for staying competitive in the midfield.

McLaren partners with T-Mobile for U.S. races
McLaren Formula One team has entered into a partnership with T-Mobile, designating the telecommunications brand as its official partner and exclusive 5G provider in the U.S. This partnership will kick off at the upcoming U.S. Grand Prix and will include branding at future U.S. races in 2024. McLaren plans to use T-Mobile’s 5G to enhance race day operations, provide connectivity for guests, and create new fan experiences. This deal helps McLaren earn more money and better connect with fans in the U.S.

Horner gave Lawson 'his word' on 2024 seat
Liam Lawson explained that Christian Horner promised him a race seat for the 2024 F1 season after Daniel Ricciardo returned from injury last year. Lawson is now replacing Ricciardo for the rest of the 2024 season, and this is considered an audition for Sergio Perez's seat at Red Bull. Lawson shared that although Horner guaranteed him a seat, there was no specific plan for which driver he would replace or with which team. He admitted it’s tough because his chance to race depends on someone else leaving their seat.

Hamilton hits 350 Grand Prix starts in Singapore
Lewis Hamilton celebrated his 350th Grand Prix start at the Singapore GP, where he finished sixth after a bad strategy from his team, even though he started in third place. He has led 54% of the races he entered and won 105 of them, giving him a 30% win rate, which is the best among current drivers. Hamilton has made it to the podium 201 times, with a 57% success rate, and has scored points in 307 races. Throughout his career, he has had seven teammates, including Fernando Alonso, who also reached 350 starts.
