Style Guide - British GP

A style rundown from Pit Lane - from special livery to helmets to race suits and fashion from every race weekend.

With the 2024 British GP at Silverstone underway, Pit Lane and FanAmp want you to switch the red lights to green because we're lights out and away we take a look at special helmets and liveries for the British Grand Prix!

The finale for this season’s triple-header lands in Silverstone, United Kingdom—being the home to many historical and memorable races, special liveries and helmet designs would not be a surprise to the eyes of the fans. The iconic track is also the home to four drivers racing on the grid: Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, Lando Norris, and Alex Albon (despite racing under the Thai flag). Well, let’s cut to the chase, shall we? Here are the special helmet designs and liveries for the 2024 British Grand Prix.

Pierre Gasly

Celebrating the release of Paris Saint-Germain F.C.’s Away Kit for 2024/2025, the football club partnered with the French driver for Alpine—Pierre Gasly. Showcasing PSG’s new away colors for the upcoming season, this special helmet design predominantly displays colors white, blue and red. On the front and the back of the helmet, the PSG logo is vividly plastered in the middle bottom. Gasly mentioned how he felt honored to collaborate with his favorite football team since he was a child—and surely, fans of both football and motorsports are just as happy to see the two worlds collide! Gasly will be racing with this special helmet for this weekend’s Formula 1 race at Silverstone.

Fernando Alonso

Apparently, the Spanish driver for Aston Martin joins Gasly to be the next driver with a special helmet collaboration for this 2024 British Grand Prix. As we can see, Alonso’s exclusive helmet is designed by BOSS—and can we spare a minute to talk about how striking the video announcement was? Alonso’s helmet features the colors black and gold—precise to the gold color of the new luxury sports car Aston Martin Valiant (crafted for Fernando Alonso himself). For the fans who are traveling to the United Kingdom to spectate the historical Silverstone race, a larger version of Alonso’s special helmet design for the British Grand Prix is also displayed in Covent Garden, London. Surely, you can’t miss seeing the intricate details of the design close up!

Red Bull Racing

Red Bull Racing is running and racing in splatters of red. This special livery is the first out of their three fan-designed REBL CUSTMS liveries that the team will be using throughout races during the 2024 Formula 1 season, with the remaining two special liveries making their appearances in Singapore and Austin this year. taking inspiration from Red Bull Racing’s RB11 camouflage livery (‘Camo Bull’) from pre-season testing, Chalaj Suvanish from Thailand designed the livery and described it as the ‘Stallion Red’. The unique design seemingly tries to portray splashes of red paint across the predominantly navy blue color of the entire car. For this special design, the RB20 acted as a canvas—still keeping its usual distinctive style and pattern.

Williams Racing

Celebrating the team and their home race, Williams Racing has unveiled a one-off Union Jack livery featuring all 1,005 team members as the centerpiece of the special livery. Displayed on the livery of the FW46 is the United Kingdom flag—the names of the staff are intertwined in the red, white, and blue engine cover design. This design might seem simple, but the special livery pays tribute, perfectly capturing the exceptional teamwork and resilience of the team throughout the years.
