Leclerc laments 'nightmare' British GP performance

Charles Leclerc described his British Grand Prix as “worse than a nightmare” after another poor performance since his Monaco win. He failed to score points because a pit stop for intermediate tires came too early, which caused him to get lapped. Leclerc admitted the pit stop was a mistake and felt very frustrated.

Ferrari key director reportedly leaves for Aston Martin

He has worked at Ferrari for nearly two decades and helped a lot with their Formula 1 cars, especially in chassis development and aerodynamics. Team Principal Frederic Vasseur will temporarily take over his duties. Rumors say Cardile might join Aston Martin, and Ferrari could bring in Adrian Newey from Red Bull as a 'super consultant.'

FIA admits mistake in handling Verstappen-Norris collision

The FIA admitted they should have given Max Verstappen a black and white warning flag for moving under braking and colliding with Lando Norris at Turn 3 on lap 64. Verstappen got a 10-second penalty and two penalty points, finishing fifth, while Norris had to retire because of punctures. McLaren criticized the stewards for not dealing with Verstappen's aggressive driving, which they had also criticized in 2021 incidents with Lewis Hamilton. At the British GP, both drivers said the issue was over, but FIA race director Niels Wittich said in a team managers' meeting that they should have shown the warning flag earlier for Verstappen's actions.
