How Claire led Williams through the turbo hybrid era

Claire Williams served as the team principal of Williams F1 from 2013 to 2020, which makes her one of only two female leaders in Formula 1 history. She took over from her father, Sir Frank Williams, and during her tenure, she managed the team through a period of transition and change in the sport. Her leadership was marked by significant contributions to the team's operations and legacy despite not holding the official title of team principal out of deference to her father.

Becoming an F1 driver is tough. It's not just about talent; you need money and connections to get a seat on the 20-driver grid. There are very few spots each year for new drivers, and teams pick based on things like marketing and sponsors. Even with all these challenges and high costs, many young drivers still chase their F1 dreams, which makes the industry worth over $3.6 billion each year.

Pirelli faces testing challenges with 2026 rules

Pirelli says it's "impossible" to build test cars for the sport's new 2026 rules. These rules include narrower wheels and active aerodynamics, which makes previous testing methods with modified cars inadequate. Pirelli will now rely heavily on simulations until real 2026 cars are available for testing.
