F1 may combine Miami and Canada races

Formula One has been focusing on sustainability by rearranging the race calendar, with a recent proposal to combine the Miami and Canadian Grand Prix into a double-header. Currently, the U.S. races and Canada are spaced out, which hinders efforts to reduce carbon emissions due to frequent long-haul travel. Discussions suggest moving the Canadian Grand Prix to May to align with Miami, but this faces challenges due to Miami's fixed schedule and venue constraints. From rivals to allies: Newey's key role in Alonso's title bid

In late October 2012 at Buddh International Circuit, Fernando Alonso found himself despondent as Sebastian Vettel erased his 37-point championship lead over the past three races, leaving Alonso trailing by six points. Now, with Aston Martin poised to benefit from Newey's expertise in the 2026 F1 regulations, Alonso sees this as his final shot at securing a long-awaited third world championship, a feat that has eluded him since his back-to-back wins in 2005 and 2006.
