Norris addresses McLaren exit speculation

Despite the MCL60's poor performance initially, Norris' recent success with back-to-back podiums and McLaren's improved performance since upgrades have made him an attractive prospect. However, Norris has a contract until 2025 and dismissed rumors of leaving: “I could be happier if we were winning races but I also know that it takes time and a lot of effort.” The team's recent progress, with 80% of their season points earned since the upgrades, can be attributed to changes in the car and team structure.

Haas mulls replacing Magnussen

Nico Hulkenberg, who returned to the sport this season, has performed well and is likely to be rewarded with a new contract. Magnussen needs to demonstrate improvement to secure a new deal, but he seems unconcerned and expects negotiations to take place if he intends to continue racing next year.

FIA sets "four to six" weeks team decision timeline

FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem provided an update on the timeline for prospective new Formula 1 teams, stating that a final decision should be made within the next four to six weeks. The application process for new teams began in February, and among the applicants is the Andretti Cadillac, who faced public opposition from current grid teams. Ben Sulayem expressed the desire for serious and well-established teams, including a car manufacturer, and defended the need to respect regulations and treaties, stating that the FIA is not here to upset anyone but to do what is right for the sport. He also acknowledged the concerns regarding the financial and logistical aspects of accommodating new teams.

Mercedes latest rear wing trick

Mercedes and AlphaTauri have implemented a rear wing trick to manipulate airflow in the car's endplate and upper flap's tip section, aiming to counteract changes made by the FIA to reduce wake turbulence and improve following capabilities in Formula 1. The vortex shed from this region is critical for reducing drag and increasing downforce, leading to various design variations between teams. Aston Martin and Mercedes have one approach, while Alpine and AlphaTauri have another. Mercedes also introduced front wing and suspension updates, while AlphaTauri made changes to their front wing, nose, and floor for better aerodynamic balance.
