The drivers have finished the final practice session of the Belgian Grand Prix weekend... See who topped the timesheets
Spa was being Spa, with steady rain throughout the final practice hour. Here's how teams performed:
- The session started with worsening rain, prompting teams to gambling gathering as many laps as possible on the intermediate tires
- Lance Stroll was the first victim of the wet conditions, spinning out at the top of Raidillon, spinning, and crashing his front left into the barrier. The Canadian driver was OK, but his accident red flagged the session
- The session resumed with just over 3 minutes left. Drivers went back out on track in the last seconds to get practice starts on wet tires. Only eight drivers took that opportunity
- George Russell had only one lap on the intermediate tire but didn't set a lap time. Carlos Sainz of Ferrari also failed to set a time
