It was a battle of the Brits and a record-breaking finish! See who claimed the win in Silverstone
The British Grand Prix was anything but boring... See who the race played out:
- Pierre Gasly was unable to start the race and had to pit after the formation lap
- George Russell and Lewis Hamilton both had great starts while Max Verstappen passed Lando Norris for third position
- The drivers had to battle some terrible weather which saw the teams pitting for the intermediate tires
- The lead interchanged between Lando Norris, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell numerous times throughout the race
- McLaren let Oscar Piastri down with the strategy and decided to make him drive one more lap on the slick tires rather than pitting for inters which really hurt his race
- George Russell had an unexpected issue with the water system in his car which caused him to retire the car eliminating him from the race
- Max Verstappen had a tough race until the last 15 laps where he pitted for the hard tires and was able to fight for second place on the podium
- Lewis Hamilton claimed the victory at Silverstone making it his 104th win and breaking the record for having the most wins at a single circuit (9 wins)
- Max Verstappen finished in second place ahead of Lando Norris
- Carlos Sainz claimed the fastest lap
