An early red flag and some unpredictable weather... See who starts at the front of the grid for the Grand Prix
The drivers had to navigate an early red flag as well as some heavy rain. See how the grid will look for the race on Sunday:
- Q1 had lots excitement with Sergio Perez going off the track at Copse corner which put an early end to his qualifying
- Before Q1 was resumed, it started raining at the track which made the last few minutes of the session very unpredictable
- The rain started to come down heavier within the last minute of Q1 which caused many drivers to go off the track and struggle with grip
- Both of the Williams drivers made it out of Q1 while both Alpine drivers struggled
- Pierre Gasly is starting at the back of the grid due to a grid penalty so he pitted early
- Esteban Ocon will start in P18 for the Grand Prix
- Q2 was just as exciting as Q1 with some very close times
- Both VCARB drivers were eliminated in Q2 with Daniel Ricciardo finishing the session in P15 and Yuki Tsunoda finishing in P13
- Logan Sargeant had a strong qualifying but was only able to put his Williams in P12 on the grid
- Charles Leclerc had a shock elimination and will be starting the Grand Prix from P11
- Nico Hulkenberg had a strong qualifying session to finish in P6 ahead of Carlos Sainz who finished in P7 and Charles Leclerc who didn't even make Q3
- Alex Albon finished the session in P9 ahead of Fernando Alonso
- George Russell claimed pole ahead of Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris
- Three British drivers locking out the top three
