Shock eliminations and an action packed qualifying... Find out who claimed pole for the last race
Q1 saw the elimination of the Williams of Logan Sargeant since his lap times were deleted due to track limits. Both of the Alfa Romeo drivers were unable to produce a lap that would get them out of the bottom five. The Haas of Kevin Magnussen was only able to end the session in 17th. Surprisingly, the Ferrari of Carlos Sainz qualified in 16th, not making it out of Q1.
Q2 had lots of shakeups with Daniel Ricciardo ending the session in 15th, just behind the Williams of Alex Albon. Lance Stroll wasn't able to put his Aston Martin any higher than 13th, right behind the Alpine of Esteban Ocon. Lastly, Lewis Hamilton was knocked out of qualifying by his teammate, George Russell. He will start the race in 11th on the grid.
Q3 was action packed with many last minute changes to the grid lineup! Pierre Gasly put his Alpine in 10th, just behind the Red Bull of Sergio Perez who lost position because of a deleted track time. Nico Hülkenberg had a great qualifying session for Haas, putting his car in 8th position for tomorrows race. Yuki Tsunoda placed his Alpha Tauri in 6th, just ahead of the Aston Martin of Fernando Alonso. George Russell split the two McLarens to finish in 4th, just behind Oscar Piastri who made another top three appearance. Max Verstappen claimed the final pole of the season, just ahead of the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc.
