The drivers and teams are back at the Hungaroring for the Hungarian Grand Prix
The drivers took to the track for the first practice session of the race weekend. See what happened in the session:
- Red Bull brought upgrades for this weekend, but they were only applied to Max Verstappen's car
- It was announced earlier this week that Kevin Magnussen will not be driving for Haas during the 2025 season
- Oscar Piastri was delayed to get out on the track after dealing with some technical issues
- Lance Stroll really struggled in his Aston Martin which is disappointing for the team considering they recently have just brought upgrades
- Charles Leclerc had a moment and ran wide at Turn 12 which saw him go into the gravel
- Thankfully, he was able to continue and it didn't cause too much damage to the car
- Ferrari looked stronger than in the previous race weekend with both Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc finishing near the top of the leaderboard
- Guanyu Zhou had a great performance in FP1 finishing the session in P5
- Carlos Sainz topped the session ahead of Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc
