Red Bull to decide Perez’s future in crucial Monday meeting

Red Bull will meet on Monday, right after the Belgian Grand Prix, to discuss Sergio Perez's future with the team. Even though he has a new contract, Perez has not performed as well as teammate Max Verstappen, scoring only 21 points to Verstappen's 129 since Shanghai. His contract has a rule that allows the team to let him go if he is more than 100 points behind Verstappen, which he is. Possible replacements for Perez are Daniel Ricciardo, Liam Lawson, or Yuki Tsunoda.

Mercedes names 'first option' to replace Hamilton

When Lewis Hamilton announced his move to Ferrari in 2025, speculation began about who would replace him at Mercedes. Initially, interest was low as Mercedes had been underperforming, but as they improved, various drivers, including Max Verstappen, were linked to the seat. Despite not doing great in F2, Kimi Antonelli became a strong option, and Toto Wolff said he believed in his potential and was ready to take a chance on him.

Could Belgium be Ricciardo's final race?

Ricciardo is in a tough spot, trying to get a spot at Red Bull Racing while also fighting to stay in Formula 1. He is the only Red Bull driver without a contract for next year, and Liam Lawson might replace Sergio Perez too. Ricciardo and Lawson will have an important session at Imola that could decide their futures. Despite the uncertainty, Ricciardo enjoys the challenge and is determined to do well to secure his place.

Newey discusses designing the £6 million RB17

Adrian Newey's track-only hypercar, the RB17, was shown to the public for the first time at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, presented by Mastercard. Newey started working on the RB17 right after finishing the Aston Martin Valkyrie, which he also helped design. He got his first ideas in 2017 but didn't start putting them together into a full design until the Christmas break of 2020.

Max & Carlos whip up waffles in Spa

Drivers landed in Spa for the Belgian Grand Prix, and the atmosphere was electric. From Lando stopping for a quick game, to Perez maintaining a straight face before breaking into an easy smile, Ricciardo being Mr. Smiley Face, Hamilton playing with a small race car, and Alonso being Alonso. Then Max and Carlos made some waffles. You absolutely don't want to know how they tasted.
