George Russell clinched the victory in Vegas as Max Verstappen claims his fourth World Championship title

After an exciting qualifying session, the drivers took to the track for the Grand Prix with George Russell starting on pole ahead of Carlos Sainz and Pierre Gasly. See what happened during the race and who dominated in Las Vegas:

  • Franco Colapinto started in the pit lane after his car had to be fully repaired following his 50G crash in qualifying
    • Thankfully he was cleared to race and didn't suffer any serious injuries
  • George Russell had a clean start and was able to get ahead of the pack after starting in pole position
  • Charles Leclerc moved up into third place passing Pierre Gasly
  • Oscar Piastri received a 5 second time penalty as a result of a false start
  • After starting in P3, Pierre Gasly had to retire on lap 16 of the race after an engine failure
  • Alex Albon has had a very disappointing weekend after suffering technical problems in FP2, being out-qualified by his teammate, Franco Colapinto, and then needing to retire from the Grand Prix due to an engine issue
  • Carlos Sainz was suffering on his hard tires on Lap 27
    • Ferrari was giving the drivers very confusing team radio messages
    • Carlos Sainz received a penalty for crossing over the pit lane line and then swerving back out on to the track
  • Sergio Perez had a very impressive double overtake on Liam Lawson and Kevin Magnussen on Lap 38
  • Nico Hulkenberg had a strong pass on Yuki Tsunoda on Lap 45 to take P8 in the race
  • Sergio Perez had a strong race to start in P16 and finish in P10
  • Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri didn't have their best result of the season with the Australian finishing in P7 behind his teammate
  • George Russell claimed the victory in Las Vegas ahead of his teammate, Lewis Hamilton, and Carlos Sainz after starting on pole
