Charles Leclerc won the Italian Grand Prix at Ferrari's home race ahead of both McLarens
McLaren started the Grand Prix with a front row lock-out with Lando Norris starting on pole. After a very tight first lap, the race order changed drastically. See how the Italian Grand Prix played out:
- Lando Norris started on pole ahead of his teammate, Oscar Piastri, but Piastri put up a good fight and was able to gain the lead within the first lap
- Oscar Piastri led the Grand Prix ahead of Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris
- Yuki Tsunoda had to retire the car after a collision with Nico Hulkenberg
- Franco Colapinto had a strong debut race with Williams and finished in P12 while his teammate, Alex Albon, finished in P9
- George Russell had a tough race and dropped down to P7 after starting the race in P3
- Daniel Ricciardo had to serve two penalties after his mechanic accidentally touched the car while he was serving his first 5 second penalty
- Kevin Magnussen received a penalty putting him in P10 at the end of the race
- Max Verstappen didn't make up too much ground within the race and was only able to put his Red Bull in P6
- Charles Leclerc took the lead from Oscar Piastri to the excitement of the Tifosi
- Carlos Sainz finished the Grand Prix in P4 after a strong race
- Charles Leclerc won the Grand Prix ahead of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris
