Key moments that gave Verstappen the 2024 title
Max Verstappen won his fourth Formula 1 world championship after a strong season. His main rival, Lando Norris from McLaren, lost his chance at the title after a tough race in Brazil. Red Bull, with Verstappen, had some challenges, including car issues, but he still managed to win races. McLaren improved throughout the season, but mistakes and team order problems hurt Norris’ chances. Verstappen's steady performance, along with some tough races for Norris, helped him win the championship.

Perez admits "total disaster" in Las Vegas
Sergio Perez admitted that he and Red Bull made mistakes in the Las Vegas Grand Prix, especially with his tire choice. He started the race on hard tires, but they wore out quickly, forcing him to pit early and drop positions. Perez finished 10th, scoring just one point, as Red Bull fell behind Ferrari in the Constructors’ Championship. Despite this, Perez is confident that the team is improving and hopes for better results in the upcoming races.

Where do current drivers rank on the all-time points list?
The current F1 drivers are some of the highest points scorers in history, thanks to the points system that rewards more positions and includes points for fastest laps and Sprint races. Three active World Champions are in the top five for all-time points, with the list also shaped by the switch to a higher points system in 2010. Drivers like Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton, who race under this new system, have scored a lot of points, while older drivers like Michael Schumacher would have had even more if they raced with today’s system. Hamilton leads with 4,847.5 points, followed by Sebastian Vettel and Verstappen.

Williams boys swap tracks for desert terrain
Imagine spending a day in the desert driving a Komatsu truck. Sounds far from fun, right? Well, don’t tell that to Alex Albon and Franco Colapinto, who had a blast swapping smooth race tracks for rough desert terrain. Albon admitted that it’s not every day you get to drive heavy machinery, while Colapinto seemed to enjoy every moment of the experience.
F1 might finally welcome a new team
After years of rejection, Andretti’s F1 bid might finally succeed—but not necessarily under the Andretti name. General Motors, the largest U.S. carmaker, is backing the 2026 entry, which is closer after a key breakthrough. Progress is expected soon, and this will mark a potential shift in the long-running effort to join the grid.
