Mercedes unveiling upgrades at Silverstone
Mercedes is set to introduce a new front wing as part of its upgrade package for the British Grand Prix. The team had previously made progress with a significant update at the Monaco Grand Prix, resulting in a double podium finish at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The upcoming race at Silverstone presents an opportunity for Mercedes to recover, with the support of a home crowd. F1's “11th team” debuts
Race fans at Silverstone were treated to the first glimpse of APX GP, a new contender in Formula 1, as filming for the movie 'APEX' featuring Brad Pitt commenced. The mock-up F1 car, based on an F2 machine, was seen on the track, and the production crews had their own garage and pit wall for filming. The movie follows Pitt's character, veteran driver Sonny Hayes, who comes out of retirement to help his teammate Joshua Pearce, played by Damson Idris, win the world championship. Lewis Hamilton is involved in the film's production, and Mercedes and its sponsors have a prominent presence on the APX GP car. Several track sessions have been reserved for APX GP during the British Grand Prix weekend.
