The FanAmp team, Track Talk and BaristaJoshRacing attended the 2024 IndyCar Season Finale, Music City Grand Prix in Nashville, Tennessee. Race weekends aren't just about racing, though! Here are the best fan events including our FIRST Track Talk LIVE!
In IndyCar, every race is different. This also applies to the fan culture surrounding the races! Due to the nature of the season finale being in Nashville - a city known for its massive crowds, country music, and the legendary Broadway Bars - fan events were plentiful Downtown, not just at the track.

FanAmp Presents: Track Talk Live
Leading into the Nashville weekend, not only did the Music City Grand Prix and IndyCar organizers put on events, so did FanAmp!
With the help of Barista Parlor, FanAmp put on the first live podcast show for Track Talk!
It featured handcrafted drinks from the Barista Parlor Team and BaristaJoshRacing, food from Maiz de la Vida, Red Racer Books, friendship bracelets, and of course our amazing panel: ZoeyERacing, Jordan Agajanian, and BaristaJosh!
While this is, of course, a one off event - we plan to do it all over again at a race near you!
Fastest Pit Stop Competition
As with many other races on the IndyCar calendar, the Music City GP held burnouts and a Fastest Pit Stop competition between a number of drivers and their crews. These events are always completely open to the public and free for all to watch!
Although our team did not attend, we did catch the set-up and street shut down from the Media Pen above Broadway.
Downtown Nashville Album Release IndyCar Party
The Big Machine Music City Grand Prix is one of the races on the IndyCar schedule that hosts a Friday celebration ahead of the Saturday and Sunday days at the track called "Freedom Friday".
For this Freedom Friday, IndyCar organizers transformed part of Broadway (Nashville's party neighborhood) into a mini-festival for IndyCar Fans! The final part of that evening was the Album Release Party for the album "Tattoos" by Brantley Gilbert. A number of IndyCar drivers were present and it was held just after the pitstop competition, just outside of the venue (Nashville Underground).
Nightlife on Broadway
In general, although there is not a lot of racing involved in this part of the weekend, Nashville is known as a city of great parties and live music. It is considered the Country Music Capital of the world, and, obviously, is named Music City for a reason!
Throughout the weekend, experiencing the nightlife and live music in EVERY, SINGLE restaurant and bar was a very unique experience.
Broadway is, of course, known as the place to be in Nashville, but if you're looking for a quieter experience of the Nashville nightlife, just venture to the neighboring streets to try the comforting southern cuisine and live music! One personal recommendation from your author is checking out the Assembly Food Hall - specifically Sixty Vines - for every type of food, drink, and desert money can buy. This is a very appropriate and fun place to bring your family, if traveling to the Music City Grand Prix with children.
One SPECIAL view to catch while out on the town is the Bridgestone Building, just a few blocks off of Broadway! At night they projected an ad for the Big Machine Grand Prix that was VERY cool to see!
Thank you for following along on this experience with the FanAmp Team! We hope to see you at future IndyCar Races!
