Sauber poaches ex-Ferrari figure in team reshuffle

Sauber has hired former Ferrari strategist Inaki Rueda as its new Sporting Director, replacing Beat Zehnder, who now has a different role. Rueda, who previously worked with Jordan and Renault, left Ferrari before this season and will now manage Sauber’s trackside activities and work with the FIA. Sauber made this move to prepare to become Audi’s Formula 1 team in 2026. They also created a new position called Head of Racing Engineering, now held by Giampaolo Dall’Ara, to oversee operations both at the main facility and at the track.

Teams struggle with finances under 2023 budget cap

Mercedes halts upgrades after costly crashes
