Senna's Netflix series actor announced
Netflix has announced that actor Gabriel Leone will portray Ayrton Senna in an upcoming six-part series about the life of the three-time World Champion Formula 1 driver. Leone, born in Rio de Janeiro, previously played Alfonso de Portago in the movie Ferrari. The series will delve into Senna's career, including his time at McLaren and his rivalry with Alain Prost. Senna tragically died in a crash during the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix.

Verstappen defies team orders
Red Bull instructed Max Verstappen to slow down during the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix due to concerns about his car's reliability. Verstappen, chasing teammate Sergio Perez, reported a possible driveshaft issue. Despite being told multiple times to reduce his pace, Verstappen continued setting faster lap times. Eventually, he slowed down but went on to set the fastest lap of the race, gaining an extra point and preventing Perez from taking the championship lead.

Garcia's W Series win leads to F1 Academy spot at Prema
W Series race-winner Marta Garcia has joined Prema, completing the 15-car grid for the new F1 Academy series. The Formula 4-spec series, aimed exclusively at women, was launched by Formula 1 and is run jointly by Formula 2 promoter Bruno Michel and former Formula E team principal Susie Wolff. Garcia, who has two pole positions, a race win, and three other podiums in W Series, is Prema's third signing. The F1 Academy championship will begin at the Red Bull Ring on April 28th and 29th.
