Bahrain's opening race proved to be a thrilling start to the 2024 season. Here's what you need to know:

Red Bull dominated the entire race, with Max sitting comfortably in the lead trailed closely by Sergio Perez. While other drivers traded Max for the fastest lap at various points in the session, none were able to keep him from claiming it at the end, nor were they able to surpass him overall
Logan Sargeant faced an early issue with his steer wheeling, forcing him off the track. While he was able to continue racing, he never recovered positions and finished P20
The Stake F1 pit crew was unprepared for Valtteri Bottas's stop, leading to a 50s+ stop that cost them the race
Carlos Sainz had an incredible performance, fighting off even his teammate, Charles Leclerc, to secure P3 and the Driver of the Day award
