'F1' movie teaser drops at Super Bowl LIX pregame show

Formula 1 and Apple Original Films thrilled fans worldwide with a new teaser for their upcoming movie F1 during Super Bowl LIX's Pregame Show. The film follows Pitt’s character, Sonny Hayes, a former driver returning to race alongside rookie Joshua Pearce, played by Damson Idris. Unlike most racing movies, F1 was filmed at real Grand Prix events with help from all 10 teams, the FIA, and race promoters. The movie will be released worldwide on June 25, 2025, and in North America on June 27.

Cadillac could surprise the grid in 2026

Cadillac is making significant investments in infrastructure, recruitment, and facilities to compete in Formula 1, including a new base in Silverstone and a large campus in Indiana. Unlike existing teams juggling short-term and long-term projects, Cadillac can fully focus on 2026 regulations while benefiting from additional wind tunnel time. They have also been using Toyota’s wind tunnel in Germany and had unrestricted testing time before their F1 entry was confirmed. While success isn’t guaranteed, their resources and preparation suggest they won’t struggle when they debut, especially compared to Haas’ 2016 entry under less favorable conditions.

Red Bull secures new crypto sponsor after Bybit exit

Red Bull has signed a multi-year sponsorship deal with cryptocurrency exchange Gate.io, which will now be the team's exclusive partner. This comes after the end of their partnership with Bybit, leaving a gap in Red Bull's sponsorship roster. Gate.io's logo will appear on Red Bull’s 2025 car, team clothing, and Max Verstappen’s helmet. The goal of the partnership is to combine new blockchain technology with motorsport and create a better fan experience.

What Lindblad’s Superlicence means for Red Bull

Red Bull’s young talent, Arvid Lindblad, won the Formula Regional Oceania Championship and earned enough points for an FIA Super Licence. This makes him eligible for F1 practice sessions, and Red Bull is expected to include him in their testing program. The team considers him one of their most promising talents since Max Verstappen. He could be in contention for an F1 seat as early as 2026.
