McLaren's attempt to review Lando Norris's five-second penalty from the United States Grand Prix was rejected. The penalty for overtaking Max Verstappen off-track dropped Norris from the podium and cost him three championship points. McLaren presented new evidence to the original stewards as per FIA regulations, but it was deemed insufficient. As a result, the review was dismissed, and the penalty remains in place.

James Vowles didn't rule out that Franco Colapinto could go on loan to Red Bull or Audi since Williams has its 2025 lineup locked in. Colapinto has done well since replacing Logan Sargeant, as he finished eighth in Azerbaijan and tenth in the U.S. GP, making him attractive to teams like Red Bull and Audi. Vowles mentioned that while talking about a loan is delicate, if Colapinto isn't racing elsewhere in 2025, he will stay with Williams as a reserve driver.
