Yuki Tsunoda ‘impressed’ Red Bull in post-season test

Yuki Tsunoda’s performance at the Abu Dhabi post-season test impressed Red Bull, especially his detailed feedback, which was praised by both trackside and remote engineers. With Sergio Perez’s seat likely to be replaced, Tsunoda sees a 50/50 chance of securing a seat for 2025 despite never being a strong contender for a Red Bull promotion. Has profit replaced passion in F1?

Ferrari’s decision to replace Carlos Sainz with 40-year-old Lewis Hamilton shows how Formula 1 is focusing more on profits than racing results. Alpine’s driver lineup for 2025 seems set with Doohan and Pierre Gasly, but there is still doubt about Doohan’s future. Briatore was interested in Colapinto, but his crashes and high cost made him less appealing. Doohan now faces pressure to perform in 2025 after his F1 debut in Abu Dhabi.
