The drivers took to the track for the only practice session of the weekend... Find out who is looking strong ahead of Sprint Qualifying
The drivers only have one practice session during this sprint race weekend. See who is looking strong ahead of Sprint Qualifying and who is struggling with their set up:
McLaren revealed upgrades for this race as they're hoping to close the gap to Red Bull
George Russell expressed some frustration to his team for sending himself and Lewis Hamilton out on track at the same time
Max Verstappen lost power in his Red Bull with 30 minutes left in the session. This brought out the red flag as the team had to get his car back to the garage
This is key because Max Verstappen is running out of Power Units for the season which could result in a penalty within the next few races
Red Bull was able to fix his power unit and get him back out on track to finish the remainder of the session
There were many talks of the driver market during FP1. Commentators are curious about the future of Carlos Sainz as well as whether or not this is Kevin Magnussen's final season in F1
Unlike previous years, drivers didn't struggle with track limits as there were some changes made to the circuit layout
Despite his engine troubles, Max Verstappen topped the session ahead of Oscar Piastri and Charles Leclerc
