F1 proposes $600M dilution fund for new teams in 2026

Formula 1 is considering a new $600 million dilution fund for new teams under the next Concorde Agreement starting in 2026. This fund aims to offset financial losses for current teams from sharing commercial rights with an 11th team, which replaces the previous $200 million fee. The proposal includes a formula-based payment over five years, rising to $700 million by 2028, and new teams won't earn prize money in their first year. This high entry cost may prompt potential entrants like Andretti to consider buying an existing team instead of starting a new one.
