The Best Trackside Events at the British Grand Prix

Are you heading to Silverstone for the British Grand Prix? Make sure you don't miss out on these trackside events

We are back in Silverstone for the annual British Grand Prix! The drivers and teams all look forward to racing in Silverstone as it is one of the most iconic and historical tracks on the Formula 1 calendar.

This year, the Grand Prix will run from Friday July 5th to Sunday July 8th.

The British Grand Prix has tons of events and activities all throughout the race weekend for ticket holders to participate in. In between the on track sessions, make sure you check out all the fan zones to maximize the race weekend experience. There are three different fan zones at the Silverstone Circuit as well as three different stages that will all be hosting different events throughout the race weekend.

F1 Fan Zone

There are three different fan zone areas at the Silverstone Circuit. Here is the best place for ticket holders to engage in the off track events and immerse themselves in the fan experience.

Red Bull Energy Zone

Fans can expect constant entertainment in this area of the circuit. The Red Bull Energy Zone will host numerous talented atheltes who will then showcase their talents for any fans at the circuit. Race goers can expect to see bike and skateboard stunts as well as a slew of others.

Lego Family Zone

The Lego Family Zone is the perfect spot for parents to take thier children for some off track entertainment. Once the on-track sessions are finished, this is the best area for families or fans of all ages to enjoy some games, activiites, arts and crafts and much more!

F1 Fan Zone

The F1 Fan Zone is the largest fan zone at the Silverstone Circuit. Here fans can expect racing simulators, digitally simulated selfies with the Formula 1 drivers and many other immersive acitivies to keep fans occupied and entertained during the breaks between sessions.

Main Stage

The Main stage at the Silverstone circuit will be packed with different performers and artists all weekend long. Ticket holders can head to this area after the sessions to end the day with fun, high-energy performances. The lineup for this weekend offers a range of musical artists that perform different genres.

Drivers Inn Stage Presented by eBay

Meet the Drivers Inn Stage Presented by eBay. This is a new venue that the Silverstone Circuit has introduced for the Formula 1 race weekend. Here you can come relax and indulge in tech talks, live recordings of motorsport related podcasts such as The Fast and the Curious as well as getting insider information on different technical aspects to racing by team personnel.

This is a great way to learn more about the teams and drivers and immersive yourself in the technical side of Formula 1. After the on track sessions, this venue will turn into an area serving cocktails and DJ sets which is a great way to unwind after a long day at the circuit.

Driver & Team Personnel Appearances

The Main Stage at the Silverstone Circuit is also where fans can expect to see driver and team personnel appearances. These interviews take place on Friday morning before the first Formula 1 Free Practice session and on Saturday and Sunday evening.

The schedule for these interviews has yet to be released. Check back here for more information closer to the race weekend.

Fans can also expect appearances on the main stage from different Formula 1 podcasters. The Formula For Success Podcast, hosted by David Coulthard and Eddie Jordan will be doing a live show and recording for fans to witness. Radio 1's Greg James, Christian Hewgill and Betty Glover will also be doing a live recording of their podcast The Fast and The Curious , as will the P1 Podcast hosted by Matt Gallagher and Tom Bellingham.

You don't want to miss seeing these as they are a fun way to learn more about the sport and to engage with people in the Formula 1 community!

Vale Stage

The Vale Stage is a new addition to the Silverstone Circuit for the 2024 race weekend. During the day, fans can expect a do-it-all stage which is mainly targeted for the children attending the Grand Prix. Here families can expect fun activities and performances that are on theme with Super Pirates, Goonies-esque films and lastly, Ministry of Science shows. It is a great way for the younger fans to stay entertained during the weekend while also learning more about their favorite sport!

After the sessions on track, fans can expect this area to turn into a fun, music-filled atmosphere with performances by DJ Dick & Dom as well as a performance by the Dave Grohl tribute band called Grohlercoaster. It doesn't stop there! There will also be performances by mass karaoke Massaoke and Bingo on steroids.
