Discover insider tips for the most convenient accommodation options in Abu Dhabi and surrounding cities for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
Abu Dhabi, Yas Island, and the neighboring city of Dubai are some of the most expensive, luxurious cities in the world. That being said, finding places to stay for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will be very easy if you're ready to make a serious investment. Airbnbs, homeshares and hostels are extremely few and far between, so your best bet is staying in a hotel in one of these 3 areas when attending the grand prix.
Staying in Abu Dhabi
Choosing to stay in Abu Dhabi - especially the city center - is the most popular option for those traveling to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The city is known for its rich nightlife, loud luxury, and of course the end of season parties. There are no shortage of luxury properties in Abu Dhabi with only a couple of 2 and 3 star hotel options for those travelers on a tighter budget. While Airbnbs are not very popular here, some of the less expensive options are 'hotel apartments' that will run you a much lower tab than the 4 and 5 star resorts in Abu Dhabi.
The only two star hotels that exist are takes on Airbnbs called 'hotel apartments'. These hotels start at about $100 USD a night during the week but can get up to roughly $225 a night on the weekends. The 3 star hotels start at about $100 USD a night during the week but can get up to roughly $225 a night on the weekends. Four star hotels start at about $200 USD a night during the week but can reaches prices as high $350 USD a night on the weekends. And of course what Abu Dhabi and Dubai are known for... 5 star hotels average $400 - $850 USD a night and are the absolute lap of luxury.

Staying on a Yas Island
Yas Island is the easiest place to stay if you're looking for little to no travel to the Grand Prix, as the island is small and the marina is the home of the track. However, staying on Yas Island can easily be the most expensive option. You can even choose to stay inside the circuit at the Yas Island Hotel. One thing to note when staying on Yas Island -especially if traveling with families - the island can get VERY loud for obvious reasons, so choose wisely.
You will find no 2 star and very very few 3 star hotels on Yas Island. On the island, the two 3 star hotels start at about $250 USD a night during the week but can get up to roughly $400 USD a night on the weekends on average. Four star hotels start at about $325 USD a night during the week but can reaches prices as high $675 USD a night on the weekends. And of course what Abu Dhabi and Dubai are known for... 5 star hotels average $700 - $1500 USD a night and are the absolute lap of luxury, especially the W hotel on the track.

There is also more to do in Dubai and it is considered one of the safest cities in the world, especially for women.
