**It's VERY IMPORTANT to note that the Mexico GP is split into ZONES by COLOR. If you have a grandstand ticket in a certain zone YOU CAN NOT go to another zone**

Grandstand 15 Foro Sol North

Zone: Brown (Cafe)

Big Screen: Yes, located along the Paddock Club

Covered: Partial

Numbered Seating: Yes

Grandstand 15 is one of two grandstands in the Stadium Section of Foro Sol. In the North Grandstand you will have a GREAT view of turns 12 - 15 as well as a small gaze into the paddock if you're on the left side of the grandstand, as this grandstand is at the end of the lap behind the start/finish straight. The seats are numbered but are metal benches without back rests, so bringing a seat cushion is recommended.

A number of food and beverage options are available in this section including a 'GA'-type section (you must still have a grandstand seat) in front of the grandstand with more beverage options. There are VERY nice and clean restrooms in this section that are built in and not port-a-potties.

It will take about 15 minutes to get from the Gate to the grandstand due to congestion and the skybridge, so give yourself some walking time!

Note: You MAY be allowed to participate in the track invasion in this grandstand but it changes year to year! You will have a great view of the podium, regardless.

Kaitlin's Review

Foro Sol North or Grandstand 15 is the only grandstand in the Cafe (Brown) Zone of the Mexican Grand Prix Track! I personally LOVED the view from these seats even more than the traditional Foro Sol South Grandstand (Grandstand 14) because it doesn't just offer a view of the stadium section BUT if you're in the middle to lower sections (by number) you can also see down the straight to Turn 12.

Sitting in Foro Sol is famous for a reason, I have been to 6 F1 Races so far and I have NEVER experienced fan culture like this. I sat in this section on Friday ONLY and even for practice, practically every seat was filled, the crowds ROARED as cars passed by, and the excitement was palpable.

The major downside to sitting in this section, however, was the lack of space between sessions to move around, refill the payment cards that the Mexican GP uses, get water, food, etc... And when I say it was difficult to do these things... I mean lines that are HOURS long on a FRIDAY with only about 30 feet of space width around the grandstand. Eat a hearty meal before going to the track if you're in this section...

Grandstand 14 is one of two grandstands in the Stadium Section of Foro Sol. In the South Grandstand you will have a GREAT view of turns 13 - 15 as well as a small gaze into the paddock, as this grandstand is facing the paddock building and the start/finish straight.

View of Foro Sol South from Foro Sol North
Foro Sol South as seen from Foro Sol North

I sat in both Foro Sol North (Grandstand 15) and Foro Sol South and while the experiences are very similar there are a few things that set Foro Sol South apart. Both sets of grandstands are fantastic for photography through the lower speed sections of the track in the stadium section, but it was unfortunate that we couldn't see the cars coming around Turn 12 into this area. The biggest plus, though was the extra shade and the perfect view of the podium (as well as the track invasion)!

This section was extremely crowded on the ground level for food, drinks, and merch, but once you went up to the concourse level (level 2), there were additional food and drink stations with no lines. This is a HUGE hack for getting refreshments because it is PACKED. Just note there aren't very many diet inclusive options like vegetarian or gluten free.

Grandstands 1 and 2 Main Grandstand

Zone: Green (Verde)

Big Screen: Yes, multiple

The Main Grandstand is technically broken up into 3 separate grandstands of 1, 1A, and 2 but are all connected and facing the Paddock. You will have a view of the VERY long start/ finish straight but not much else due to this straight measuring down the entire length of the track. However, it is still popular to sit here so that you can see all of the action of the paddock, garages, and pit stops! The seats are individual so you may not need a seat cushion.

A number of food and beverage options are available in this section including a large picnic- like seating area behind the grandstand and the support series paddock. This section has some of the best food and drink options as well as more robust merch choices. So, if that is more important to you than on-track action, the Main Grandstands are for you!

Additionally, these grandstands exit directly into Ciudad Deportiva, so it is very easy to catch public transportation to and from the circuit.

F1 Driver Appearances

In the Green Zone and main grandstands, you are the zone that has access to the driver appearances, fan stage with DJ, and more! So, if you choose to buy tickets in this section, you may be able to interact with your favorite driver!

Grandstand 8

Zone: Pink (Rosa) - attached to Yellow (Amarilla) and Blue (Azul)

Big Screen: Yes

Covered: No

Numbered Seating: Yes

Grandstand 8 is in a smaller zone (pink) near the very large blue zone in the action packed turns 4 and 5 of the track. In this grandstand you are facing the back straight and have a great view of Turns 4 and 5.

There are four sections within the grandstand, 101 - 104 and there are 23 rows which allows for views overlooking a large part of the circuit. The seats are numbered and actually very comfortable, something that can’t be said for many other grandstand seats. Unfortunately it is uncovered, so regardless of the weather, fans should expect to be quite exposed to the elements. There was a large screen directly in front of the grandstand with loud speakers allowing viewers to follow along with the action taking place on other parts of the circuit.

A number of food and beverage options are available in this section including the Fanzone and carnival rides in front of the grandstand. The fun part of the Pink and Yellow Zones is that you have complete access to the Blue Zone with the fanzone. These three zones are much more accessible than any other zone where you are limited to a very small area.

It will take about 15 minutes to get from the Gate through the Blue zone to your grandstand due to congestion, so give yourself some walking time!

Logan's Review

Grandstand 8 is arguably one of the best views at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. Not only is it one of the more inexpensive grandstands, but it is where fans can expect lots of action to take place. This year, we were able to see the fight between Lando Norris and Max Verstappen at the entrance to Turn 4 where Verstappen claimed his first penalty of the race. Fans get a glimpse of the straight before turn 4, and if you are seated in section 101 of 102, you can see the cars going into turns 5, 6 and 7.

Grandstand 8 was located in the pink section and is right beside the ferris wheel. There were numerous food and beverage options in this section as well as different facilities such as water fountains and toilets. There was also a musical stage where fans could enjoy some live performances by small local bands in between the on track action.

Overall, I would highly recommend grandstand 8 to any fan as it had great views, was a comfortable place to sit, and was located in a fun environment where fans can enjoy the atmosphere of the Mexican GP on and off the track.

Grandstand 2A

Zone: Orange (Naranja)

Big Screen: Yes

Covered: No

Numbered Seating: Yes

Mexico GP Grandstand 2A
Mexico GP Grandstand 2A

Grandstand 2A is in a very small zone with a limited view of the DRS straight immediately following the start/ finish line. While you will only have a view of the straight in front of you, this is one of the fastest parts of ANY F1 track on the current calendar.

A number of food and beverage options are available in this section including the a few vegan and gluten free options that could not be found in other sections.

The one major upside of this section is that its a VERY large area with only one grandstand so it takes all of 3 minutes to enter and walk to your seat!

Mexico GP Grandstand 2A
Mexico GP Grandstand 2A

I'm going to be honest, I was just happy to be at the race but wasn't excited for this grandstand in particular... until I arrived at the track. The grandstand itself is VERY long - basically half of the DRS straight. However, there are TV screens all the way down the track that were very very clear and had great audio. And OF COURSE the fans in this section were electric (except when it was very clear that Checo wasn't going to score points)...

I particularly loved the view for the drivers parade because the grandstand may be long but it's not very tall, so everyone had a great view of every driver. The same was true for the race! Our whole section timed it so that we would stand once the cars exited Foro Sol because it would take about 10-15 seconds for them to then reach our grandstand! We were able to catch some fun action including the multi-lap battle between Lewis Hamilton and George Russell.

I was also THRILLED by the food options - I found multiple vegan options including vegan loaded hot dogs (that were amazing)! Overall, this section had very short lines for food, beverage, and restrooms - which was a welcome change from the Foro Sol/ stadium area. I'd definitely recommend this section for a budget ticket with a great experience.

We hope this guide is helpful!
