This weekend, the Hungarian Grand Prix will spotlight both racing action and the billionaires behind the sport. Mark Mateschitz, owner of a significant share in Red Bull, and Stefan Persson, part owner of Alfa Romeo, are among the key figures. Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who owns part of Mercedes and Manchester United, and Finn Rausing, a major shareholder in Alfa Romeo, are also prominent in the F1 scene. Then there are Bernie Ecclestone and Toto Wolff, who have big roles in F1 and will also be part of the event.

Esteban Ocon won't be joining Williams, even though he recently visited the team for a seat-fitting. Team boss James Vowles said they looked at Ocon for the 2025 season but chose to go another way. Williams is still pursuing free agent Carlos Sainz but faces competition from Sauber-Audi and Alpine. Vowles praised Ocon's performance but believes he is more likely to join Haas in 2025.

Aston Martin brought a major update to the Hungarian Grand Prix to fix handling issues from previous upgrades. The new revisions focus on achieving better balance and a more consistent car. Changes include updates to the front wing, floor, and diffuser for improved aerodynamic performance. Additionally, a new horseshoe-style vane on the halo is introduced to manage airflow.

Christian Horner had a meeting with Sergio Perez in his kitchen to discuss Perez's recent poor results in Formula 1, where he earned just 15 points in the last six races. Perez's slump happened while Red Bull faced more pressure from other teams, making him fall 137 points behind Max Verstappen. Despite talk of a possible contract termination, Horner is hopeful Perez will return to his earlier good form and praised his positive practice session in Hungary. Horner stressed that the team is fully supporting Perez and believes he can get back to being competitive.

The Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team and n+ have introduced new e-bikes, including the top model, the Mercedes-AMG F1 Rallye Edition. This bike has a fast-shifting semi-automatic gearbox and a 5.5” digital dashboard for tracking performance. It also features a smart helmet with Bluetooth, safety lights, and automatic accident alerts. The e-bikes come with a 720Wh battery that offers up to 70 miles of range and includes various models for different types of riding.
