Red Bull sponsorships swell to €1 billion

Red Bull's profit remained nearly unchanged despite a 24% increase in revenue due to rising costs, notably a 36% surge in sponsorship payments exceeding €1 billion. Other expenses like production and logistics also rose, resulting in a net income of €1.72 billion. The company's sales reached 11 billion cans, but the US share declined to 44%, while Europe accounted for 36% of net revenue.

McLaren seeks $23 million from Palou over contract breach

McLaren is seeking at least $23m from IndyCar champion Alex Palou after the Spaniard reneged on his contract for 2024. Palou initially agreed in court that he had no contractual obligations preventing him from joining McLaren after the 2023 IndyCar season. However, he later surprised by rejecting McLaren for Chip Ganassi Racing. If the original deal had gone through, he would have raced for McLaren in IndyCar and held a test and reserve role in their F1 team. McLaren's Zak Brown expressed disappointment in how the situation was handled personally, as Palou decided not to honor his contract with McLaren, leading to legal proceedings. Palou also cut ties with the management company involved in the original deal and had no contact with McLaren since early August.

Ricciardo to miss Qatar GP

Daniel Ricciardo will miss the Qatar Grand Prix due to a broken hand sustained in a crash during the Dutch Grand Prix.
