The Best Fan Zones and Events at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

We are finally headed into the final race of the 2024 season. As bittersweet as this is, there is tons to look forward to and so much excitement ahead! McLaren and Ferrari are separated in the constructors championship by a mere 21 points... it's a gamble for who will take P1 in the championship! Max Verstappen has claimed his fourth world driver's championship but the fight is still on for P2. Will Charles Leclerc surpass Lando Norris or can Norris hold on to his lead?

Abu Dhabi is always an exciting race, especially when it is a decider for the final standings in both championships. Besides it being an exciting race, there are tons of activities and events happening all throughout the weekend to get fans excited for the season finale!

This year, the Grand Prix will run from Friday, December 6th to Sunday, December 8th.

There are five different fan zones lined up for the weekend as well as a stellar list of performers as well as driver and team appearances.

F1 Fan Zone (Main Oasis)

The main F1 Fan Zone, also known as the Main Oasis, will be the best place to be immersed in the atmosphere of the final race of the season. There are countless activations to take part in and it is going to elevate the entire race weekend! There is a three-person giant swing where you can get an incredible view of the Yas Marina circuit. There is also live music throughout the entire weekend. Even if you don't feel like participating in some of the activities, you can enjoy live entertainment by local artists.

Fans can also expect an illusion room where visitors will be surrounded by a wonderland of mind-boggling mirages! Lastly, there are virtual reality driving pods where fans can see how they would fare as a Formula 1 driver!

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix has some of the best food and beverage options for the fans attending the race weekend. They provide a variety of cuisine options while making sure that they have options for any dietary restrictions.

Arriving at the Main Oasis

There is parking located at the Yas Mall as well as a shuttle service that runs from 9:30am until 1:00am. Fans can be head to the Yas Mall main entrance (Tryano) for the pick up location. The ride is about 15 minutes from the mall to the circuit.

Main Oasis drop off points‍

• Main Oasis is accessible on foot from West Oasis (3-5 minutes)

West Fan Zone (West Oasis)

The West Oasis Fan Zone will have a variety of different F1 activations to keep fans busy during the breaks between the on track sessions. There are some of the usual activities such as the pitstop challenge and F1 race simulator but visitors can also look forward to a QR activated maze! Here, ticket holders can challenge themselves in a maze of entertainment and try to make it out of this high tech challenge.

There will be an array of food and beverage options with numerous choices catering to everyone's food perferences. Fans can expect different options from different cuisines such as Mexican food, Asian food, American food and much more!

North Fan Zone (North Oasis)

The North Fan Zone, also known as the North Oasis, is geared more towards the high speed action of the weekend, providing fans with exhilarating activations and events! Since 2022, the Yas Marina Circuit has implemented a bungee jump for the adrenaline junkie fans! This allows fans to fly over the circuit and have a frightening yet thrilling experience.

The North Oasis will also feature the Pit Stop Challenge where you can test your skills as an F1 pit crew member! there will also be a reaction wall to test your reactions and see how you would fare against an F1 driver. Lastly, there is a VR fitness area where you can test out different VR games and see what it is like to use virtual reality as a workout tool.

As always, this will be one of the best spots to purchase official merchandise as well as Yas Marina Circuit merchandise! There are also a variety of fanfare and beverage options for anyone within this Oasis.

Driver and Team Appearances

All of the teams will be hosting driver appearances throughout the weekend on the main stage in the Main Fan Zone (Main Oasis). Hear from your favorite drivers and teams to learn more about their season, closing remarks, and hopefully to get some insight into the winter break plans! The main stage will also host a variety of F2 and F4 drivers, so make sure you don't miss out on hearing from the next generation of motorsport.

Super Thursday

Super Thursday runs for all 3-day ticket holders and allows visitors a pit lane walk at the Yas Marina Circuit. The pit lane walk will be open from 11:00 - 13:30 (last entry is at 12:40).

The circuit gates open for Super Thursday from 10:00 - 21:00. There will also be three fan zones open during Super Thrusdya for attendees to make the most of their day at the track!

Main F1 Fan Zone

North Fan Zone & Oasis

• 18:00 - 00:30

2-day and 1-day ticket holders should be able to access the fan zones and the pit lane walk as will as long as they make an official merchandise purchase. This was the case for the 2023 Grand Prix but it has not been announced for 2024.

Fan Meet Up

If you're heading to Abu Dhabi and looking for a way to enjoy the race weekend while making some new friends, you should head to the Abu Dhabi GP Fan Meetup hosted by Formula Fadia and Nyah India! Head over to the Fan Zone (near the main stage) to meet up with other motorsport fans and connect while making and swapping friendship bracelets!

This is a great way to meet like-minded people and embrace the fan atmosphere at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

When: Saturday, December 7th at 1:50 PM (near stage after F2 interviews)

Entertainment and Concerts at Etihad Park

To close out the 2024 Formula 1 season, Abu Dhabi is hosting some of the most exciting singers. The Fab Golden Circle will be hosting Teddy Swims, Peggy Gou, Maroon 5 and Muse. In order to access these concerts, fans will have to upgrade their tickets. All of these concerts will take place at Etihad Park!

The concert tickets are only available to fans who have Abu Dhabi Grand Prix tickets.
