There was plenty of action on- and off-the-track for Free Practice 3. Here's what you missed:

Early in the day, Carlos Sainz was pulled from the weekend due to a medical emergency. He originally thought it was a stomach flu, but doctors determined it was appendicitis and the rookie Ollie Bearman stepped up to replace him
Ollie Bearman quickly jumped behind the wheel, sacrificing his pole in Formula 2 to prove his mettle for the Scuderia on a very difficult circuit
Stake F1's Guanyu Zhou crashed into the barrier in the final minutes of the session, triggering a red flag. The team will have to quickly replace a replacement car to be ready for the Qualifying session
