Lando Norris takes pole in Qatar for the Sprint Race on Saturday ahead of George Russell and Oscar Piastri

Since the Qatar race weekend is a sprint format, the drivers only had one practice session ahead of the Sprint Qualifying. Find out what happened in the session and who claimed pole for the sprint on Saturday

  • Charles Leclerc topped FP1 ahead of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri
  • The drivers had to use medium tires for SQ1
  • Ferrari and McLaren are looking like the strongest teams out on track
    • They are separated by 24 points in the constructors championship with only two races left in the season
  • Esteban Ocon had troubles in FP1 and struggled in SQ1
    • He was eliminated early and will start the Grand Prix in P18
