It's the second sprint weekend of the season! Find out who will be starting on the front row
The teams took to the track for the Sprint Qualifying session. The margins were quite tight and the results were close! Find out who is starting at the front of the grid for the Sprint on Saturday:
- The rules mandate that the drivers use the Medium tire for all of SQ1
- Oscar Piastri and Valtteri Bottas had a close moment in SQ1 as a result of Bottas' new race engineer delivering a message too late
- Both of the Williams drivers struggled with Logan Sargeant finishing in 19th and Alex Albon finishing in 20th
- Zhou and Bottas were both eliminated as well, with the Sauber drivers finishing in 17th and 18th
- Lewis Hamilton clipped the wall, ending his qualifying session which put him in 12th
- George Russell was just squeezed out of making it into SQ3 by Nico Hulkenberg who will start in 10th with Russell right behind him
- SQ3 was quite close between all of the drivers
- Daniel Ricciardo had an impressive qualifying session, putting his car in P4 on the grid
- The Aston Martin drivers had a mediocre qualifying with Lance Stroll finishing in 7th and Fernando Alonso finishing the session in 8th
- Max Verstappen claimed pole, just ahead of Charles Leclerc and his teammate, Sergio Perez
