That was an action packed race! Find out who came out victorious and who struggled on track
The drivers finally took to the track for race day! Find out what happened at this star-studded event:
- Sergio Perez had a close moment with Max Verstappen at the entrance of the main corner as he cut across the track nearly taking out both Ferraris as well
- Max Verstappen made an out of character mistake, hitting a cone on lap 22
- Home hero, Logan Sargeant, had contact with Kevin Magnussen on lap 29 which ended his race prematurely and bringing out the safety car
- Oscar Piastri and Carlos Sainz ad many tough battles throughout the race
- Oscar Piastri damaged his front wing because of this, causing him to pit and ruin his race
- Verstappen complained on the radio that the car was difficult to drive, and the gap was evident as it continued to grow between him and Norris
- Esteban Ocon and Fernando Alonso had a tight battle for P9 with Alonso pulling away and claiming the extra point on lap 49
- Yuki Tsunoda pitted under the safety car and was able to hold on to 7th position, bringing home great points for his team
- Lando Norris claimed his maiden Formula 1 victory ahead of Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc
